Polymarket desk
Prediction-market bots on the same limits-first desk: orders that keep their place in the book inside a stop-loss, exits on your rule, and markets picked by filters.

Overview
Every bot runs as a task on one or more Polymarket markets. Markets are picked by hand, uploaded in bulk, or found by the market filters, and each task carries its own risk controls.
How a task runs
| Stage | What happens |
|---|---|
Entry | The conditions for placing the order. |
Monitoring | Watching the market, the book, the price and the limits while the task is open. |
Exit | The fill, the stop, the close of the position, or the final action. |
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
PENDING | Accepted, not yet working. |
ACTIVE | Working: watching the market and holding its orders. |
EXECUTING | An order is being filled. |
COMPLETED | Done. |
STOPPED | Stopped by you or by a limit. |
ERRORED | Stopped by a failure; the log says which. |
Market search
Market search works on its own and inside any mode that picks markets by filter. Filters combine; sorting applies to whatever they leave.
Filters
| Filter | What it narrows |
|---|---|
Category | Top-level category: Sports, Politics, Crypto… |
Subcategory | A narrower group inside the category, e.g. Sports → MMA. |
Liquidity | Total market liquidity, from / to. |
Liquidity at price | Liquidity near the price you care about — whether an order there can actually fill. |
Trading volume | Volume over a period: 24h, 7d, 30d, all time. |
Price range | Price of one outcome, or of all outcomes, from / to. |
Time to expiration | Up to 24h, 1–3 days, up to 7 or 30 days, or custom. |
Early completion | Whether the market can resolve before its formal date: yes / no / ignore. |
Market age | Created in the last 24h, 7d, 30d, or custom. |
Recurrence | One-time, daily, weekly, seasonal, annual. |
Status | Active, resolved, closed. Active by default. |
Outcomes | Binary or multi-outcome: 2, 3+, or a range. |
Sorting
| Sort | Order |
|---|---|
Liquidity | Ascending or descending. |
Volume | Ascending or descending. |
Created | Newest or oldest first. |
Expiration | Closest or farthest first. |
Price | Of the chosen outcome, ascending or descending. |
Price change | Over a period, ascending or descending. |
Volatility | Ascending or descending. |
Limit orders
A limit order on a market and a side. When the market moves, the task can move the order with it — never past the stop-loss — so it keeps working until it fills or stops.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
Markets | One market, or several uploaded at once with the same fields. One task per market. |
Side | YES or NO. |
Size mode | Shares or USD. |
Size | The order size in the chosen mode. |
Stop-loss | The furthest price the order may be moved to while it follows the market. |
Queue depth | Where the order sits in the book — see below. |
Queue depth
| Value | Behaviour |
|---|---|
0 | Outbid: improves the best price by one tick and becomes the first level. |
1 | Join: sits at the current best price. |
2+ | Into the book: the second level or deeper. |
Take-profit
Closes all or part of a position you already hold, in one step or as a following limit order.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
Position | The open position to close. |
Close size (%) | How much of it to close. |
Execution | Limit — the exit order follows the book to keep its priority until the stop-loss. Market — closes once the trigger price is hit. |
Limit stop-loss | Limit mode: how far the exit order may follow. |
Trigger price | Market mode: the price that fires the exit. |
Bond
Builds positions in a high price band — for example 0.90–0.97 — for a set amount per market, across the markets you pick or the filters find.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
Markets | Picked by hand, or found by the market filters above. |
Max markets | How many markets the task may hold positions in at once. |
Entry min · max | The price band the task buys in. |
Size ($) | Position size per market, in dollars. |
Execution | Limit or market. |
Auto redeem | Collect the payout on winning positions once the market resolves. |
Longshot
The same fields as bond, at the other end of the book: positions in a low price band, for example 0.01–0.02, where reach and strict sizing matter most.
Spread trading
Works the spread between entering a position and offering it back. A bid task tries to hold the first place in the bid queue inside its stop-loss; once it fills, the desk opens a listing task for the whole position, which follows the book inside its own stop-loss.
| Field | What it does |
|---|---|
Markets | Picked by hand, or found by the market filters. |
Side | YES or NO. |
Spread ($) | The spread at which the task may open a position. |
Min level liquidity ($) | Funds required at the target price, so the entry does not land in a thin level and fill partly. |
Size ($) | The entry size. |
Max markets | How many markets may hold positions at once. |
Bid stop-loss | How far the entry order may follow while staying first in the book. |
Listing stop-loss | How far the exit order may follow. Defaults to the bid stop-loss + 0.01. |
Risk controls
| Control | What it bounds |
|---|---|
Stop-loss | Bounds how far an order may be moved automatically. Limit orders, take-profit, spread trading. |
Max markets | Caps how many markets hold positions at once. Bond, longshot, spread trading. |
Queue depth | Controls where an order sits in the book. Limit orders. |
Auto redeem | Automates collecting the payout after resolution. Bond, longshot. |
Before any task starts, the ticket will show its markets, total exposure, stop-loss, execution mode and the automatic actions it will take.
